We only use ingredients that have stood the test of time and been accepted and enjoyed by our customers. If you’re new to CBD and to tinctures, we can help. We can explain what CBD is, how it can be helpful to you, and what you can do with that tincture you’re holding. You’ve made the first step in starting a health and wellness journey that includes CBD, and we know you’ll reap great benefits from using high-quality tinctures like ours! We will also consider why using a tincture may be a better option than using another CBD product, depending on the reason why you’re using CBD in the first place.

In case you are new to CBD usage, here’s a brief overview of what CBD is, where it comes from, and how you can benefit from using it.

What is CBD Oil?

Cannabidiol, or “CBD” is a chemical compound found in the leaves of a particular species of the hemp plant. This is not the same species that gives us marijuana, and as such, CBD is not psychoactive and cannot get you high.

CBD can be extracted from the hemp plant three ways: as an isolate oil, a broad spectrum, or full spectrum oil. Of these three oils, full spectrum oil is the most desirable, as a full spectrum oil has been extracted from the hemp plant along with other plant parts that are usable and beneficial to the body. A full spectrum oil contains a trace amount of THC, the psychoactive compound found in marijuana, but the amount is less than .3% as governed by federal law, and not enough to make CBD oil psychoactive.

A broad spectrum oil includes all usable plant parts except for the trace amount of THC. This is a beneficial oil option for any user who cannot tolerate even a small trace of THC in their CBD oil. The user still gets the benefit of the other plant parts, but will not have to worry about their product including THC.

An isolate oil is the cheapest to make and manufacture, and as such, it is found in lower-end tinctures and CBD products. Isolate oil does not contain any other plant parts other than CBD. While a user would still get the benefit of CBD, it would be better to get the benefit of CBD and other usable plant parts.

What Are the Benefits of CBD Usage?

People use CBD for a variety of reasons. CBD has excellent soothing properties and is beneficial both when taken internally and when applied topically. Here are some of the most popular reasons a person may take a CBD product.

While a nice glass of merlot might help you unwind after a long day, it can definitely interrupt your ability to experience deep, REM sleep. When you don’t get enough deep sleep, you wake up tired and groggy as though you haven’t slept at all.

CBD is a plant-based soothing agent. CBD’s soothing and calming properties work well with other pain-alleviating ingredients to target everyday aches and pains. KULCBD’s Muscle and Joint Body Cream is a perfect example of this benefit in action!

CBD can promote mental wellness. While not a psychoactive or sedative substance, CBD can promote calmness and relaxation and has been known to ease restlessness.

CBD is great for your skin. When used topically, CBD has a plethora of great skin benefits, like soothing the skin, helping to reduce the appearance of acne, keeping skin looking hydrated but not oily, and even reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

CBD may aid in improving sleep. If you’re having trouble getting in a few winks, CBD oil may help ease you into sleep and without making you feel groggy in the morning.

No matter why you are using CBD, a CBD tincture is a great way to get CBD delivered quickly and efficiently to your body. Here’s how a tincture can work for you.

What is a Tincture, and How Can it Help?

A tincture may look like a potion from an apothecary, but it’s simply a highly concentrated CBD oil mixture. Normally, a high-grade CBD tincture will contain at least 500 mg of full spectrum CBD oil. QUL wellness tinctures all contain 800mg of full spectrum oil, for the same price as you normally find 500mg offerings. We include this much CBD because we know our users demand the highest quality.

Another defining factor about QUL wellness tinctures is our CBD oil delivery method. While most tinctures use alcohol as the base for their tinctures, we only use multi-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil. Not only is MCT oil a healthy fat, but research also shows that consuming CBD along with fatty acids may help CBD oil bypass a portion of the digestive system that breaks down CBD and results in CBD being delivered slower and in lower quantities to your bloodstream.

Tinctures are a preferred method of taking CBD because they deliver CBD to your body in a manner that allows it to be absorbed well and quickly. A tincture can not only be swallowed by either swallowing the tincture itself or adding it to a food or beverage, but it can also be taken sublingually.

Taking a tincture sublingually means placing a few drops of the tincture under your tongue and holding it in place for several minutes to allow the mucous membranes in your mouth to absorb it. This is a great way to get CBD to your bloodstream fast, which makes it a popular method for people taking it to help ease them to sleep or to just help ease their mind overall and promote calmness.

If you’re concerned that a tincture won’t taste good, you needn’t worry, especially if you’re taking a QUL wellness tincture. Our tinctures are available in five flavors which are designed to heighten the senses and elevate your mood. These flavors are pure, unfiltered, and mix perfectly, offering you the ability to add them to food, a favorite beverage, or simply take them by themselves.

Why Should I Take a Tincture Instead of Another CBD Method?

Why you take a tincture really depends on the reason you’re taking CBD. If you’re taking CBD for skin issues like to reduce the appearance of acne or fine lines and wrinkles, a tincture can definitely help heal your skin from the inside out, but a great topical CBD product may be a better fit.

For internal use, tinctures are some of the fastest vehicles to get CBD into your system. While you can certainly obtain and ingest CBD in capsule form, your body will have to digest the coating on the capsule and the CBD itself, before any of the CBD reaches your bloodstream. Additionally, if the CBD capsule you take does not also contain a fatty acid along with it, you will need to expect that a portion of your CBD will be broken down in the liver, which means you will get less CBD into your system than the actual amount you take.

A tincture makes the delivery of CBD almost instantaneous. Tinctures are also very well tolerated, easy to take along with you if you need to take your CBD on the go, are easily ingested, can be added to food or beverage, and are absorbed easily. These properties make tinctures a go-to for the consumption of CBD.

If you’re concerned with how much CBD tincture you should take, we understand. While there’s currently no medically accepted one-size-fits-all dosage information available, you can consider your own height, weight, and body composition, the reason why you are taking the tincture, and the concentration of the tincture, before dosing. Based on these variables, you can determine how much is best. You should always start off by taking a lower dose than you plan to take normally, to ensure you tolerate well and that it is effective.

Using a CBD tincture is a great way to get CBD into your body and have it absorbed quickly and effectively. Using a high-quality tincture can easily help you improve your overall well-being. Tinctures are long-lasting and potent, and you will only need a small amount of your tincture per dose, making even luxurious CBD products easy on your wallet. Adding a CBD tincture to your health and wellness routine is a great way to improve overall wellness holistically!
